September Council Meeting in Charleston

The South Atlantic Fisheries Management Council met this month in Charleston, SC.  Among the many actions taken by the Council were the approval of Snapper Grouper Amendment 29 and 32 and Coastal Migratory Pelagics Framework Amendment 2.  Of particular interest to many fishermen and the public is amendment 36 which is aimed at developing spawning special management zones (smz) for snapper grouper species.  To check out all the amendments under consideration, click here.
