South Atlantic Fishery Management Council to Meet in Charleston, SC

The South Atlantic Fishery Management Council is meeting September 15-19, 2014 in Charleston, SC. The meeting will be held at the Charleston Marriott Hotel, 170 Lockwood Boulevard, Charleston, SC. Please note the Council will be discussing snapper grouper management from 1:30 pm on Tuesday, September 16 through the end of the day on Wednesday, September 17. Review the agenda and briefing materials for all issues under discussion and review.
There are two opportunities for public input: Wednesday, September 17 at 5:30 pm during an informal Q&A with NOAA's Regional Administrator, Roy Crabtree and Thursday, September 18 at 4:00 pm during the Council's formal public comment period. The Council is looking for feedback on snapper grouper amendments 29, 32 and 33, snapper grouper regulatory amendment 20, dolphin wahoo amendment 7, and coastal migratory pelagics framework amendment 2. However, public comment can be given on other amendments as well.
